Anyways, I certainly wouldn't recommend it. And I say the bitter end, because the ending is equally as weak as the rest of the game. I kept playing, thinking that surely it would pick up, but no, it was a snooze-fest to the bitter end. No drops, no treasure, no merchants that you can even buy any cool stuff from, nothing. Not because I had some bad ass equipment or anything, but because there wasn't anything else. Each of my characters only changed weapons once the entire game, and armor maybe twice.
The selection of weapons and armor is pitiful.
That's not saying a melee character is any better. Not cool being a mage running around in a full blown suit of plate mail. To top it off, the 'special' suit of armor your character pretty much has to wear, is for a melee character. Magic is awful in this game, there are hardly any spells, and the few you do finally get don't show up until 3/4 of the way through the game. I played a battle mage, which was a huge mistake. The story is pretty boring and the game is VERY linear, which really surprised me. I played through it, but only because I didn't have anything else to play.
